Library Change

Just a heads up that our Library time is changed for this week and next week. We will be having Library on Wednesday afternoon!

It’s hard to believe it is June! The students are getting so big and have learned so much! Here are some dates for your calendar:

June 15 – Scout/ Benanna Lake field trip

June 16 – Fun Day – Half Day – noon dismissal

June 19 – Play Abby/Garrison Spray Park

June 22 – Last Day of Grade One

Jeans Day

Well, it appears that a small detail was lost in translation! Tomorrow (Wednesday, May 31) is our Jean’s Day Fundaraiser for Vancouver Children’s hospital. If the children would like to wear jeans tomorrow, they can bring a $5 donation to the office and receive a button. Children are also welcome to wear their uniforms.

Spring Concert Reminder

Just a reminder that our Spring Concert is on Monday, May 29th at 6:30pm. Students should be in their classrooms by 6:10. Dress code for the evening is casual pants and a spring coloured t shirt with no logo or patterns.

I have heard the students practicing and they sound amazing! We look forward to performing for you!

Last Spelling List!

I can hardly believe that this will be the last Spelling list of the year! I will introduce the words on Monday, May 30th and test them on Friday, June 2nd.

Field trips!

We had such a good field trip to the Blue Heron Reserve yesterday! The students were so focussed on the Art lesson and loved scooping the pond looking for critters. I was so proud of how well behaved they were!

We have two more field trips to do this year and permission slips will be coming home this week!

Blue Heron Reserve

Just a reminder that we are going to the Blue Heron Reserve tomorrow on Wednesday, May 24th at 9:30. Please wear play clothes and dress for the weather!

Spelling Words

Spelling words for the week of May 22nd. I will introduce the words on Tuesday, May 23rd and test them on May 26th.

Spring Concert

Our Spring Concert is coming up on Monday, May 29th at 6:30pm.

-Students should be in their classrooms by 6:10pm.

-Students will wear a plain spring coloured top and casual pants (no shorts, skirts or dresses)

-Students will be picked up at their classrooms when it is over.
